In the context of someone wanting a 'proper' right wing option such options already exist but people don't vote for them. The votes are in the centre which is why the politicians are there - politicians follow votes - if there was a real demand for a proper right to 'sort' things you'd find politicians falling over themselves to occupy the space.
I don't know what's going on with May. I'm amazed she's still there. Didn't think Corbyn would make one Christmas as leader either.
Corbyn is still safe, the current Labour members support him strongly so nobody is even going to make a move agaisnt him, even if Corbyn did go I would expect someone from the same wing of the party to replace him, Brexit is probably hurting his standing among the membership a bit but not by remotely enough to see him go.
May is an odd one, I think a lot of Remain leaning Tories would rather see her in place than the kind of candidate the Tory membership is likely to back, equally I think a lot of the ERG group are happy to see her stay there and take the flak for whatever mess we eventually finally agree on Brexit, easier to snipe from the sidelines and make out it would all have been fine if a true believer was in charge.0 -

Give it time. There was a period when the Scottish nationalists were basically nowhere. Now they have power.
No recent government has had any answer for the big chunks of the country outside the properous core. Nor the EU for that matter.0 -

In more other news, Rees-Mogg is at it again:
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2018/07/01/history-bodes-tory-prime-minister-defies-party-theresa-may/
Where he likens the current situation and the repeal of the Corn Laws. I may be stretching my schoolboy history here, but the repeal of the Corn Laws is considered to be good for the country, but bad for the Conservative party.
Yet again, the only thing Rees-Mogg cares about is Rees-Mogg...0 -

The Conservative Manifesto is very explicit.
We will leave the single market, leave the customs union and no longer be subject to ECJ rulings.
JRM simply wishes the Prime Minister to stand by the program she was elected on.If I don't reply to your post,
you're probably on my ignore list.0 -
"As we leave the European Union, we will no longer be members of the Single Market or the Customs Union but we will seek a deep and special partnership including a free trade and customs agreement."
Sounds like staying in the single market and customs union with a different name. EU has already said no.0 -
Moral of the story. Don't come up with a ridiculous, impossible manifesto.
Or vote for it.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

The votes are always in the centre because the electorate is normally distributed.
So the question isn’t how the voters fit around the centre it’s where the centre actually is.0 -
Just in time for the holidays. The Euro buys a few more pounds since the beginning of June. A Brexit dividend for the European tourist visiting Britain. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0
