Overbooking on holiday tomorrow.

Hi All,
Last week we booked with lastminute.com for a week in Cyprus, Limassol. We fly out tomorrow but they have called to say the hotel is overbooked and changed it. That was fine, then they call again to say that hotel was overbooked. They then give a third hotel and that now can't be booked.
We are now stuck with a choice of hotels that all have something we are not happy with.
What are our rights
Really upset at the moment. This holiday was to relive stress

What does your contract with lastminute.com say?The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0

I'm trying to look now...0

Okay 4 alternatives they offered were also unavailable when they checked. I was then rushed, as the offices close at 10, into booking accommodation that is a far lower standard than the one we booked. And they have only offered £61 refund. The guy on the phone also didn't know my rights to cancel.
I'm really not happy and I'm thinking of cancelling. Any ideas on this

It seems you accepted their alternative accommodation and you are now too late to change your mind."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Are you allowed to give someone 10 minutes to decide on a holiday? After 2 hours of confusing them with alternatives they can't have. And not warning them that the offer couldn't be cancelled. And not being able to tell them what their cancellation rights were?0

Mind me again why I use my cousin who is a personal travel agent!0

Maybe post on the travel board to to see if anyone there can find you something broadly similar0

Not what the OP wants to hear, but, for the benefit of others who may read this thread subsequently...
The time to check your cancellation rights is before you book the holiday. By the time you need to do so, may be too late. This may be especially true when booking at the last minute.
(And no - I don't always do so myself - I assess the risk against potential loss).0
