Perhaps it's geographical, no problems with EE or VM here in Oxford this afternoon.

Their landline customer service numbers are not working.

    EE landline 0845 412 5000
    Another provider 0207 362 0200

    I cannot call landline numbers.

Landline numbers working for me, incl the 0207 above.

Sounds like it must be regional then, I’m in the north east of England.

    Ah... a sexist comment.

Not meant to be sexist at all.

If my mother broke down she'd call me before doing anything else. She's also call her employer before the car was recovered.

I'd arrange recovery and sort everything else once I knew what was going on, so if anything I'm saying women are more organised than us men ;)

    Happy now?

Very. Suppose it were your father and he was ill or lying hurt? As stated, sexist compounded by your last comment.

    Yes.

My husband would be the first person I would call. He sorts out anything like that.

I deal with all the paperwork etc. as he is useless with that.

    Works for us.

    (and I call myself Ms)

And we have not been able to make calls for most of the day but ok now.

I am like the ultimate pit crew man.
I service the car, do the paperwork and sort out everything else.

I keep asking the OH what her other slave died of?

    She replies - "Which one?"

Then he would likely call for an ambulance, as the AA wouldn't be his priority. If he was too ill (a completely different scenario from a fluid leak while in a car park) to do that then I'd hope someone passing would do so for him, as I would for you or anyone else.

My mother drives 30 miles of fast roads each way during rush hour, my father drives 4 miles each way at unsocial times. Who is more likely to break down, and who is more likely to be in more danger as a result of breaking down? OH (who is very much female) commutes 60ish miles of motorway however would likely sort herself out, not that I wouldn't help if I could. At least there is a hard shoulder along the route though.

I have at no time today been ill, neither to the best of my knowledge has anyone I know, and at no time have I attempted to be sexist.
