    Hi there

this was outside the Stay City Hotel next to Hayes and Harlington Station. The original company to send the letters were Parking Control Management (PCM). The details are the same as the post PCM Parking Charge at Hayes and Harlington Station - although she replied/appealed at the notice to keeper stage.

What now? Letter to MP? Letter to Gladstones? Wait for court summons then face them there?

Hi all - just wondering if the owner of the vehicle can have the driver represent the case in court or does it have to be the person named on the letter?

The person named on the Notice to Keeper has to be present (the Defendant), but they can have someone present their case for them. But if the defence is based on 'No Keeper Liability', having the driver present the case is really tempting fate!

Google 'Civil Court Lay Representative' and while you're at it do the same on 'McKenzie Friend' to understand the difference and what each can/cannot do on behalf of the Defendant
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Obviously the defendant must be there.

Thanks for your replies - the defendant has refused to go to court so we will wait (if) a court summons arrives and pay at that stage - if that is an option?

You have the option to pay right up till you walk into the hearing room. If you want to pay in cash on the steps of the county court that's fine and allowable.

It is not a moral option on this forum to pay PCM.

    Absolute madness.
