You have received £185 off the customer for the item so you have been paid.
You will receive another £185 off myHermes meaning the total so far is £370 in your account
You then need to refund the the customer there £185, leaving you £185 in your account too spend as you wish
After they have purchased a basic calculator, they will only have about £180 left.

I have to refund the customer £185 for the purchase of the item not received. I paid £185 for the bracelet thus leaving me £185 out of pocket. The item was insured for it's value which is £185.

so the customer gets back the £185 that they paid to you for the bracelet
You get to keep the money from Hermes
only Hermes (insurance) is out of pocket. The customer gets their £185 back from you and you get £185 from Hermes
why do you think you will be out of pocket?

I sold the bracelet for £185 which is now missing.
I have to give the customer the £185 I will (hopefully) get back from Hermes.
I therefore will be left with no bracelet which has just cost me £185

    You bought bracelet = - £185
    You sold bracelet = + £185
    You refund buyer = - £185
    Hermes refunds you = +£185

    -£185 + £185 - £185 + £185 = £0

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

So you were down £185, but up one bracelet

So you are up £185 and the customer has no bracelet.

So that will leave you with the original £185 which the customer originally paid you.

No, you will be left with the £185 the customer paid you. The customer will have no bracelet, but will be refunded with £185 from Hermes.

Am I able to pursue criminal proceedings due to the fact myHermes have been negligent in delivering the parcel to the wrong person/address & that it's been stolen?
Well, the police could certainly instigate "criminal proceedings" against the person who stole the bracelet-but you'd have to know that person's identity.
If MyHermes refund your £185, that really is the end of the matter.

    -£185 + £185 - £185 + £185 = £0

If you cannot manage simple calculations may I suggest a maths Course

    Totally agree.

    185+185-185+185 actually equals 370.

Think BODMAS. After dealing with brackets, powers, multiply and divide then the rest has equal weighting and is dealt with from left to right.

    Pink shoes is actually correct-
You missed the - symbol before the first 185
    -185+185-185+185 equals 0

However, I think we can all agree that the OP is not actually out of pocket if the insurance pays
