Price Match John Lewis for Motorola G5 phone
I had started a thread of Locked or Unlocked. Response best retailer was John Lewis. They were selling the phone at £149 95 few days ago. Tuesday night that price was now £169 95. I had submitted a form for price comparison Tuesday night.
When I spoke to JL yesterday am they said that I would need to pay the full price of £169 95. Once I had received it and decided to retain the phone they would credit the £20 back to my account'
As this has never happened to me before I told them I was unhappy. They said it was company policy yet when I bought a TV they price matched with Richer Sounds and I paid the match price when I placed my order plus a ref no they sent me.
I decided today that CPW does not have a great reputation for service so today I decided I would order it from JL.
When I went on their website the Grey phone is now on sale at £149 95. The Gold remains at £169.95. Both colours are on sale at CPW and Argos for the £149.95. I suspected that this might happen. When I bought other good from them the following day or in a very short time the price was shown as the price match. I know it is a bit petty not to want to accept the offer of the refund but it was a matter of principle having never to have to do this previously. I didn't want to bite off my nose to spite my face however. Order placed now I am just waiting on it arriving. Fun and games trying to transfer the data from one phone to the other. I read that you can download an app Moto Migrate so hope I can manage this.

Argos did reduce the gold model to £149.95 but only for a very short time. It was back to £169.95 some days ago when I happened to check and is still that price now.0 -
I requested the price match for the grey as this was what I wished to purchase
CPW were selling both colours at £149.95.
In fact last week.John Lewis were selling both colours at £149.95.
It was only when I went to place the order on.Tuesday night that the price.had increased.
John Lewis are offering an extended guarantee to 24 months Terms apply.
I have been advised numerous time to.buy from JL.on TV You view boxes etc.
Have got a price match with Richer Sounds.
Their reputation as well as their place at top of Which Magazine Customer Service. This and my own experience with them has confirmed this.
