Waste Water Bill

Our waste water bill since March is £173.95 and our normal water bill was £83- there are 2 of us living in a 2 bedroom house and on a water meter.
To me the waste water sounds quite expensive?
We have had a sprinkler going for a few weeks due to new lawn so could this be why?
Am I just a tight !!!?
Whilst were on the topic have we any water saving tips? We have a bath and multi taps but the shower is just rubbish (just to wash my hair takes forever with no pressure)
