BT Hotspots

I am today in Rayleigh in Essex the bt hotspots are terrible and a disgrace.
This morning I could get on but this afternoon most of the time I can't then when I can it disconnects shortly afterwards other times connects and says no internet.

Any ideas why?

If the broadband line that the hotspot is associated with is dropping out or has poor speeds, then this will affect hotspot connectivity.

Would'nt you think that bt would have the sense to repair it - or is it they just want to pretend they have xx number of hotspots?

A lot of hotspots can simply be from residential user lines, who may not always be aware of a problem.

As above many hotspots are from home broadband and don't really reach far beyond the front door .

As hotspots are wifi BT will not know the ones that are poor .
