If there are two of you there's £200 each to be had there...unless one of you has already received an incentive previously?

    200 each?

I thought the current Nationwide customer gets £100 and the person they refer gets £100?

Maybe I'm being a bit thick and not understanding, if so sorry and do tell how I can get more! :)

One of you opens an account, then refers the other.

The other then refers the first.

£100 each for both = £400 in total.

£250 just arrived in the account on day 63 after switch. That number of days or thereabouts seems par for the course. I am still astounded that a bank offered this amount just to switch. No doubt most on here would have happily jumped through the hoops even if it was £100 but there you go.
  • It is amazing. I opened two accounts, one for me, one for the wife, so have £500 coming this month, which is not far short of what I'll get for having £50,000 in an ISA for a YEAR! The worlds gone crazy.

Just noticed a strange quirk in YB's account reporting. I have several SOs paying in and out of the account on the 6th. This happens to be a Saturday this month. Normally these would all move to the nearest working day i.e. Monday in this case. None of the SOs have been paid either way, but YB shows available funds today as if the SOs out have been paid. Suddenly I am shown as overdrawn, but with no transactions shown as to why.
I must confess I panicked and paid in some money to cover the shortfall, which has gone in immediately and I now show in credit.
It made me wonder if banks always process available funds as if the SO had been paid on the due date even if they are delayed, but both my Santander and Lloyds accounts show my balance today as no SOs paid and exactly the right amounts.

It appears they put a hold on the funds but don't actually move the money until the next banking day. I had the same thing with SOs due out on the 1st Jan, and like you paid funds in to ensure I wasn't overdrawn just in case, when the SOs were actually taken on 2nd Jan I took the funds back out.
  • I've found in similar instances that by adjusting the filter on the transactions screen of online banking to extend the 'To' date of the 'From and 'To' dates to a future date, the additional transactions are shown.

My switch date was 3/11. I got my email this afternoon...just checked my account and my £250 has already been credited :j

    Same here!
  • Out of interest, how did people here meet the 2 x £1k deposit requirements?

I transferred in £1k on the 28th and out again on the 29th in 2 consecutive months, but no bonus yet...(although I am only on day 65).

All DD's are present and correct and payments have been made from both.
