Medical emergency Malaysia airlines

Can anyone please tell me where I stand,
I flew out on Malaysia airlines mh003 on September 15 this year,
During the flight a medical emergency occurred during which a illegal immigrant was being deported,
The deportee had smuggled a razor blade on board and slashed his wrists, in the toilets after takeoff, despite having 2 security officers with him,
We returned back to Heathrow, and was told that a new crew would be called for, and we would fly at 6 pm that night, no problem with that just a long delay,
But as 6 pm was almost near, we were informed that we were not going as they could not get a new crew, where do I stand claiming compensation for not the medical emergency delay , but for the airline saying we were flying, then not hope someone can help, many thanks

When did you fly, the next day? did they provide overnight accommodation?

We flew the next day and they did give us accommodation, it was very sad, but so much for security at Heathrow!

For a Heathrow departing flight, yes
