Ok I will make these changes before printing out tonight.

I’m not sure if it’s a silly question or not but do I have to attend the hearing? It’s going to cost me a lot more than the original fine of £60 to have the day off work being self employed. Even if I claim back the £95 maximum I will still be at a loss.

You’re not compelled to do so, but your chances are reduced (in our opinion) if you don’t and just ask the Judge to decide ‘on the papers’.

Just a couple of weeks ago, three posters ignored our advice to attend - all three lost and were landed with significantly higher costs than would have been the case had they attended.

At least if I went to work my wages could cover the loss, if I go and lose then it’s a double blow. My court time is near the end of the day and I’ve read about quite a few people having to go back the next day. If that’s happens I’ll end losing nearly 10x the amount of the original fine.

When attaching the tenancy Agreement which states I lived in the property, do I need to remove all information about other tenants?

What is it I need to take to the court tomorrow? Just witness statement with exhibits and skeleton argument?

    Everything.

Your defence, WS, evidence (everything you filed!), skelly, and costs schedule (to claim costs if you win, before you leave the room) and proof of loss of wages/leave.

Even better, at least two copies of everything, to assist the court if needed.

And proof that you emailed the WS and evidence to the Claimant in case their rep lies.

DO NOT EVEN THINK about not turning up.

The 3 people who lost, lost about £300 by not turning up.

CM, I think the OP is only taking about filing a Witness Statement and evidence tomorrow.

I don't think the hearing is tomorrow. The hearing in on 1st May, according to post #31 above.

Ah I see, then yep, take the WS and evidence tomorrow. Same as you emailed to the Claimant's solicitor.

Court date adjourned due to insufficient judiciary, nightmare. I just want to get it over with, it’s been 2 and a half years!

They’re all too busy dealing with private parking cases!
