Parking Eye Notice 5 months late

Hello all
As the registered keeper of the vehicle (not the driver), I have received a PCN from Parking Eye for an incident in early May - 5 months ago. I understand I may have grounds for appeal because of the late issue of the PCN.
Can anyone tell me a good wording for the appeal and what the process is?
Many thanks.

add a paragraph to the blue text appeal about failing POFA2012 due to the late NTK
this is known as a "golden ticket" on here (search the forum for it)
same as this one ysterday

What is it with ParkingEye and the backlog of May PCNs, lost down the back of a filing cabinet, maybe?
Easy to win.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
