uninstall office, remove office folders from prog files and prog data.
open regedit, delete the office keys under HKLM/software
from control panel, use the mail icon to delete all profiles
delete the office folder from c:/users/yourname/appdata/local/microsoft

    reinstall office
    enjoy

    Hi
    I don't have " HKLM/software"
    I have HKEY classes root
    HKEYcurrent user
    HKEY local machine
    HKEY user
    Hkey Current config

There is no mail icon after I have deleted office via the control panel

I have tried to repair feature like Biggles said but that didn't work either

Talktalk say I need admin rights for outlook to work using the IMAP setting so I put cmd into the search box and clicked shift, ctrl and enter together and then entered sfc/scannow let that run whilst outlook was open but that didn't change anything either.

I have also right clicked on outlook and ran as admin but that didn't work either so I don't understand what I am doing wrong?
I have also done a clean install of the win 10 OS and this hasn't made any difference.

    Ok I give up now
Going to use talktalk pop settings as I cannot get the IMAP to work even after trying to set it up as Admin using Cmd and even right click and using admin from there.
    Thanks everyone

    Hi everyone

I have allowed windows 10 to update over the weekend after doing another clean install of win 10. and ran ccleaner disc wipe and now today I have reinstalled Office and allowed that to update.
Now I have come to set up Outlook 2010 and it opened already working and when I clicked on an attachment the preview worked. i was having issues with this last week.
I haven't tried setting up the e mail on the IMAP settings not that brave just yet and happy that my e mail is back to normal.
    Thank you so much :)
