Hi
My e mail client outlook 2010 became corrupt so
Here is what I have done
Deleted office
Ran ccleaner
Gone to local disc prog files, prog x86 and local user and deleted everything to do with outlook
Ran disc cleaner by right click on local disc and system files
Ran ccleaner again
Reinstalled office
Come to open outlook and it still has the old e mail address data file yet I am sure I have deleted them.
When it sends me to the location the old e mail data address is still there.
What am I doing wrong?
All I want is a clean install of outlook so I can start again fresh with no details.
Thanks

Did you want to delete all your emails and contacts etc? In which case you need to delete the .pst file. This is located at: “C:\Users\[Your Name]\AppData\Local\MicrosoftOutlook”0

That file is missing
When I try to open outlook now I get the error message
" cannot start m soft outlook. Cannot open outlookwindow.
The set of folders cannot be opened.the file C:\users\.......\documents \joeblogs@talktalk.net.pst is not an outlook data file (.pst).
The email address it names above has been deleted previously along with another e mail addy.

I don't understand it or I cant get it to work https://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/newprofile.htm
I went to user ac and clicked on the mail applet clicked on e mail AC then add new account and entered my e mail addy and all my details then closed everything and tried to open outlook and still get the PST messaged.
or do I have to make a completely new e mail addy?

I had a similar issue with my Gmail account a few days ago. What I had to do is to 1) remove data file; 2) remove account and 3) add account again, all done through Mail app of the control panel. I tried the same steps earlier from Outlook 2010 itself but the problem persisted. This is on Win10. I once had to do the same from Outlook itself on Win7 and it went through smoothly...0

To solve Outlook PST error issues, you can get a help of Inbox Repair Tool. You can also try a third party Outlook PST repair software to fix any kinds of Outlook errors.0

Did you try the 'Repair' facility in Windows Settings, Apps, Microsoft Office, Modify? That usually sorts any program corruptions.0
