2 days lost due to hurricane - can I claim on insurance?

Please no comments such as "Theres people starving to death and you're worrried about two days of your holiday".
Recently in Florida and due to hurricane we pretty much lost 2 days. Disney parks closed, all shops closed and we actually had no power for the last two days.
No direct costs because we were still able to get home as planned. So only loss was loss of use of park tickets we'd bought, and use of facilities in our rented accomodation.
Just wondered?

Probably not but vheck your policy or ask your insurer. Nobody in here can know what you're covered for.0 -
And you chose to go in hurricane season why ?travelover0

Your insurance is unlikely to cover this as it is classed as 'force majeure'0

What does your travel insurance policy say?0

Because the chances of being smacked hard are still relatively low.0 -
I've been to Florida many times in the hurricane season but never seen one yet. It was a bit windy once.littlereddevil wrote: »And you chose to go in hurricane season why ?Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0 -
I did get Hurricane Sandy in Washington DC once.
I certainly didn't think about hurricane season for that trip.0 -

22 times. One hurricane (this year) and one tropical storm (10+years ago).
I've crossed the road quite a few times and never been run over0
