Hi,
I want to start investing some of my additional cash into ETF's.
I was thinking a lump sum of around £5,000 and then around £500 per month. So were on £10,000 GBP plus after the first year.
I don't plan to change that frequently, I think Ill pick 3-5 diverse funds. 3/ Solid ones, and then perhaps 1/2 High Risk/Gain funds if I find something to my liking.
I am an expat. Currently located in the middle east. I have not worked in the UK for 5 years, but I will likely return when work drys up or when something goes wrong.
I was looking on the MSE Homepage and its recommending iWeb and Cavendish as decent platforms. These however require you to be a UK resident.
At the moment I am a GCC resident. I do have UK home address, and a buy to let in the UK.....but Im not sure if I am a UK resident per se.
Are there any recommended platform options out there for a UK Expat?
Or should I just go ahead and sign up using the UK address registered on my driving licence?
Thanks in advance

You are (almost certainly) non resident in UK for tax purposes and shouldn't sign up for any accounts which require you to declare that you are:cool:
