If there is anything that can be done, can you please explain to me, clearly and concisely, exactly what I must do, and in what order it must be done in. That's a lot of information to process in my current state.

    Epitome

I’ve got to ask do you actually deal face to face with claimants?

Don’t get me wrong your knowledge is amazing. I am in awe of it

But, I know, that a lot of my clients would have a real problem processing your advice and then being able to deal on the phone with the actual interaction with the call centre/whoever. Use of initials etc doesn’t help. And that is, absolutely, no criticism of my clients...

Maybe you could try and simplify?

I can't do all that, and I don't have anyone who would be willing to. And now you're saying I'm going to lose my ESA anyway? Well what's the point

Take a deep breath. Call the Job Centre on Monday and explain what's happened. Ask for an appointment to review your case. Baby steps. One thing at a time. Try not to over-complicate things. Good luck xx

I cannot calm down now. I'm going to lose everything. There's nothing I can say to them that won't make them think I'm lying. I don't think there's any point to anything. I will lose my ESA, my housing benefit, my house... I don't think I can carry on knowing that.

    This

And see if you get in contact with your local CAB/advice centre to see what support they may be able to give you

    rvj87,

Call the Job Centre tomorrow. Write down the main points that you want to tell them in advance. The person on the end of the phone is not there to judge whether you're lying or not. Try and keep things in perspective. Your world will not end. You can sort this, have faith xx

I will have to do this on my own. When post is delivered it's left in a communal area so I suppose it might have been thrown out by accident. I want to call them tomorrow because I want to know where they sent my esa50 and letter saying I have to attend an assessment.

    Neil,

I would like a sticky on this board with all the accronyms. I would hope that others here would explain what the accronyms mean to people who don't know. I also hope that by using them more that people here will get to know them as I explain them quite often. It is just quicker for me to type. And where I say HOTT or MSRS.......... if a caller phones ESA and says that word or initials to the ESA enquiry agent the enquiry agent will know what they mean.

But this board/forum has lots of other things going on. “Hoping” that others will explain acronyms etc just isn’t going to happen

And, I know damn well from sitting next to clients speaking to the DWP how flustered they get when asked to repeat an acronym/being asked what it means etc etc.

And if you think all DWP staff know what HOTT or MSRS means well..... And even if they do it’s an easy out if it’s clear the client is struggling to question them

I ask again what it your actual experience of working with clients dealing directly with DWP? And, again, your knowledge is, clearly, amazing. But making it more “user friendly”would be even more amazing!
