  • indeed it seems an attempt to win back customers, but i doubt they could fly me anywhere in europe for free though:D
  • Ryan air are on my no fly list along with Thomson and Thomas Cook. I'm 6ft3 and find their seats are poor with little leg room. EasyJet are my favourite for short haul flights and Norwegian for long haul.

I'm expecting lots of "never again" and "I'd never fly with them" responses here. Just remember this is a money saving web site, I've traveled all around Europe and had some amazing holidays and adventures on RyanAir, exploring places I'd never imagined I'd ever be able to afford to see. I fully understand their cost model and yes I'll certainly see what offers are available to tempt me to fly with them again.

That will cost you an extra £15 i'm afraid, (unless you've worked out how to get extra leg room for free). ;)

So am i, but secretly i think those same people will purchase a flight for £4.99, £5.99, £7.99, £9.99?

After all, it's the crème de la crème of money savers, here.

  • Oh, MSEers!
An offer not to be missed? Well yes you might just miss getting on eventually!

OK, this is a money saving website....but it also says Expert! Cost, as I am sure Martin would point out, is not everything and value can be just or more important. For example the cheapest 'whatever' might not meet your need and as such is a waste and not saving anything!

I for one have not travelled on Ryanair for a number of years, having had several cases of very bad customer service and an abysmal experience watching the treatment of some passengers with specific travel needs, the decision was never again!

Not even 4.99 would tempt me to suffer the hassle of probable cancellation and the companies policies that have been witnessed over the last couple of weeks, CAA intervention being required.

Much of the travel industry needs a kick up the backside and some companies more than one!

I would say possible cancellation even that is unlikely ,along with the fact that Ryanair have now said they will offer rerouted with other airlines

With that in mind these low fares look very tempting and I bet some of those who said never again are also tempted

But easyjet have a 29 inch seat pitch and ryanair have 30 so you get more room on a ryanair flight.

  • I honestly find Easyjet the best for leg room. I think it is the design of their seats, they are thinner and pre reclined slightly plus they have a net magazine pocket in the back of the seat in front instead of one of those metal bar which digs into my knees.

I didn't have the heart to tell them that thomson have 2 inches more leg room and thomas cook the same leg room as norwegian do in long haul

I think its your unconscious bias personally

A net magazine pocket which when you put stuff in it.......................reduces your leg room even more!
