    Current portfolio is:
    Capital Gearing Trust (CGT) 14%
    Personal Assets Trust (PNL) 15%
    Mid Wynd IT (MWY) 12%
Martin Currie Global Portfolio IT (MNP) 10%
Monks IT (MNKS) / Baillie Gifford Global Alpha 10%
    Fundsmith 4%
    Smithson IT (SSON) 7%
    RIT IT (RCP) 5%
    Ruffer IT (RICA) 5%
Dodge and Cox Global Stock 7%
    TR Property (TRY) 5%
    Cash 6%

    Main changes have been:
    1) Repurchased Dodge and Cox Global Stock fund. Held this a while back around 2017. The thinking was to reduce concentration in growth/quality and add a fund with more of a value focus.
    2) Added holding in RIT Capital Partners. Thinking was also to diversify a bit  and  it was on >10% discount.
    3) Ruffer IT. At the time this was added my thinking was that I had cash in my account that I didn't buy anything with in March/April and, if I wasn't going to make a purchase then, I should probably invest the money in some way for the longer term rather than holding cash forever. Something defensive seemed to make sense and I guess at the time I thought a change from CGT and PNL would be a good idea.

That said, cash has temporarily drifted up a few % again...

I'm not really confident in any of the above choices. Time will tell.

More generally I'm happy to be ahead of Vanguard Global All Cap over the 3 years with a rough average of 70% equity and property in my portfolio.

  • Well now the You Are (Not) A Portfolio seems positively boring by comparison.
Vanguard FTSE UK all share 35%
    VMID 23%
Vanguard FTSE global all cap, VVAL and VHYL all on roughly 8%
    BRK.B 12%
    TSLA 5%
A 3:2 FTSE all share:FTSE 250 ratio means I get about a 1:1 FTSE 100:FTSE 250 exposure, but the all share fund is cheaper than either of Vanguard's FTSE 100 options.
Not buying the global all cap anymore, only VVAL and VHYL.
When it gets big enough I'll have to start moving mostly to iWeb.

You may be waiting quite a while with over 60% allocated to the UK ;)

With a cyclically adjusted earnings yield of 8% for the FTSE 100 and 5% for the 250 (plus a little capital concentration) I'm more worried that my higher earning years (3 years away) will miss this dip :D
I was going for 2/3 UK but my Teslas went wild.
