Put my portfolio in the updates thread. Is there an easy way to move it?
"Edit" your updates posting, Select all of it then CNTRL-C. Create a new empty portfolio posting, then CNTRL-V.

I have taken Vanguard LS60 (which I do hold) and provided an Active based equivalent, based on funds I (also) hold all of which have been part of my portfolio for between 6 months and 13 years, most funds 3-5 years. Seems like a good approach to compare active and passive on a more or less like for like basis. Where I do not hold directly equivalent funds, I have used the closest I have. Not perfect, but should give a good comparison.

For starters, the allocation of VLS 60 is as below (from factsheet) and showing % and £100k allocations:

    Vanguard Life Style 60:40 % £100k
    26.2% North American Equities £ 26200
    19.2% Global Fixed Interest £19200
    15.0% UK Equities £15000
7.30% Europe ex UK Equities £7300
    6% UK Gilts £6000
4.4% Global Emerging Market Equities £4400
    4.1% Japanese Equities £4100
2.6% Asia ex Japan Equities £2600
    3.7% UK Index-Linked £3700
3.5% UK Corporate Fixed Interest £3500
8% other Investment grade bonds £8000
    100% Total £100000

sorry - cant get the columns to line up any better

Pounds or dollars it makes no difference as it will come down to percentages in the end. Yes next update Oct 31st. YTD my portfolio is up 11.5%. I expect to be mid pack if we get enough active portfolios.
