You said the dent has been fixed you can see it but an unsuspecting person can't. If that is the case you are really worrying over nothing and the lease/pcp co will class it as reasonable wear and tear.

I wrote a paragraph on how that POSSIBLY CANNOT be the case. But then I read it the link and it confirmed it.
Dents up to 10mm in diamater are acceptable provided there are no more than 2 on one panel.

10mm dents are absolutely nothing at all. A car that satisfies the industry standard fair wear and tear condition is basically absolutely mint condition to the average 2nd hand car buyer.

You have to bear in mind that PCP cars have to be sold onto someone else after you are done borrowing it, so anything that affects it's second hand resale value will affect it.
  • What should i do?

    Live with it
    Stump up and pay myself
Mention it to my neighbour and see what he says??

if you can ge tthe neighbour to pay for it then do so. If you can't then dont bother - just leave it and get it repaired before handing it back to skoda if you want.

My concern would be that the panel gets hit again due to some unforseen incident and you pay again to get it repaired.

I can't stand the thought of PCP. I live in London and have 4 dents on my car caused by people knocking into my car while it was parked. Some of the knocks look like it was hit while someone was moving heaving goods past my car, perhaps the binmen or a lorry/van unloading next to my car. Also had my car egged once and another time someone vomited on it.

So I could never sleep at night if I had a PCP car.

Where do you get this nonsense from. Fair wear & tear means exactly that, the sort of wear & tear that's reasonable given the age of the car. You do realise the majority of ex-financed cars are sold on via auction.

Remind me not to ever get a car on pcp. The stress of trying to keep a car mint is too great.

    It's quite ironic isn't it!

I know a typical debt ridden ten bob millionaire who's got a big flash 16 plate Jeep on pcp... currently got 2 separate fairly large dings in it, one on the rear qtr panel and one on the corner of the front bumper.

They can't afford to repair them until the deals due to run out so they're driving around in a big flash 16 plate Jeep that looks like it's taken part in banger racing.

Or maybe they're waiting until then in case they pick up any more damage on the way, makes perfect sense to me.

And the following attitude to others says more about you than anything else

I would disagree with your last point.

Even if that would be their reason it's still hilariously ironic that they're going to spend the next 2 years driving around in a big, flash 16 plate Jeep (that they got purely as a status symbol) with it looking like it's just taken part in the local demolition derby.

And yes that is my attitude to !!!!less, debt junkies living well beyond their means and I make no apologies for it.

What people do with their money is their concern. Sounds more like you have a chip on your shoulder.

I wouldn't be paying for any repairs either unless the paint was damaged. Common sense really.
