Electric boilers

Can anyone tell me whether these elctric boilers which are available are as good as they seem to be? Can you really get a beth of hot water from one of these boilers which they say can be fitted in a cupboard? I do not have gas so am looking for something which can be the next best thing. Currently have an immersion heater and storage heaters.

I can't really see what advantage these would have over an immersion heater for heating hot water. My understanding of them is that you would still need a hot water storage tank anyway.
For space heating they are likely to be more controllable than storage heaters, but also more expensive to run.
Personally I wouldn't touch one with a bargepole.
Despite all the fantastic claims by the manufacturers , in essence they are just a bl**dy big heating element!
You would achieve roughly the same effect, and with a lower outlay, by buying a load of freestanding electric oil filled radiators and placing one in each room.0
