We were discussing money saving tips at work the other day, and a colleague said "a bottle of champagne weighs the same as a melon."
Took me a moment to realise what she was on about.
Might be sensible to point out to her that shoplifting is shoplifting regardless if it's a melon or a bottle of champagne, then!

Someone suggested a list for presents and who gave them so you can regift safely
that seems quite a good idea to me!
I’m a fan of regifting (although usually any unwanted presents are donated to school fairs)

I'll second this!
I bought a pile of retired library books for my DS one Christmas when he was small, I think I paid about 30p each and you get much better titles, selected by someone with an actual interest in the subject rather than the same old, same old titles that seem to be stocked everywhere.Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.100
