Tenth Anniversary First Post Combo Breaker
I used to bank with Handelsbanken - very good but sadly offered poor online services. This was about 6 years ago.

I have banked with Handelsbanken for about seven years and not only have I found them to be excellent, their on-line services are not only what one would expect from a modern bank, but their security systems seem fairly impressive also.

The only two things that I miss from my previous bankers: one positive and one negative, the extortionate account charges of my previous 'private' bankers (+ive) although I do miss the former's narrative bank statements.

These are all 'mass affluent' banking rather than real private banking.

and that just sums it up- folk wanting to appear 'posh'!!
Amazing , the poshest people I have met have been very down to earth apart from the "One likes to........" speech.
I'm sure they don't care what the cheque book says as long as there is cash in the bank!
Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Absolutely...often find those with plenty tend to try and keep quiet about having it.

Those with less often make a show about having more than they do, never forget my wife asking me years back, how most of our friends could afford brand new cars and we had an old run around...answer was most are probably on finance or similar, all fur coat and no knickers.
