  • Hope your first day back is a good one Hairy - we have thunderstorms forecast for later  Its funny how the holidays are different all over this Easter - my boys aren't back until next week - they have an inset day too next week, a bank holiday the following week and its only a 4 week term!!!

Just wanted to say a quick thank you! DH got a letter on Saturday (do PPI letters only arrive on a Saturday?) to say he would be receiving a cheque for £370 within 10 days. I only looked into it because of your diary so if you lived closer I would be taking you out for a latte to say thank you :D:D:D:D:D

Hope you get all jobs done this afternoon. Love BB50 xx

I frequently think the courses could be made way shorter

Thanks BB50 :). That's great news about your PPI :T I'm really pleased :D. Do you have any special plans for the money or will it go into general expenses?

It is strange how different the term dates are for people. A four week term seems far too short!

It was dry playtime, hurrah :T. Well, when I say dry, I mean it was only light rain so the children went out to play in the puddles :rotfl:. One boy seemed delighted because he had mud all over his face :rotfl:.

I enjoyed being back, but felt really tired walking home. I think I'm still recovering from all my de-cluttering over the holidays. One of the lunch time staff had been to Cornwall and France over the Easter holidays! She must be better paid then me :rotfl:.

This afternoon I'm going to do as little as posible because I'm really tired and I'm volunteering in the classroom tomorrow morning, so I need to get my energy levels higher. I need to wash some hoodies and underwear for DS3 to pack for uni, but apart from that I intend to do NOTHING apart from cook dinner and shower :).

DH is at the customer this afternoon so I can have a quiet time :D. I ironed his shirt and made him toast for breakfast this morning before I went to work because he was so busy .

  • I've just had an email from the Financial Ombudsman to say that they agree with B@rclays that the complaint about my packaged bank account is out of time. It's disappointing but at least we tried. No more free money for us :(.

Never mind, I know we're lucky to have had the PPI refunds that we've already received and I'm very grateful to have them :).

Glad you enjoyed your first day back HHD and that it wasn't wet play. DD is back at Uni but doesn't start lectures until May and then for only 2 weeks and that's it, first year done and dusted! 9 months of lectures for 15 hours per week, with plenty of holidays thrown in, total cost £9,250

I don't get the length of the courses either these days. My Dad did a degree in the 60's and his research was wading through books from the library and then he wrote everything by hand. When I think of all the technology they have at their fingertips these days I can't help but wonder why they still take 3 years to complete. :o

I got my first PPI letter back today - I'm not getting anything :rotfl: TBH I think this will be the case with all of them but at least I'll have made sure. xx
  • Sorry about your PPI TF2 :(. Still you never know, I thought all of mine would say no if you remember.

University terms do seem to be getting shorter. I had three ten week terms when I was at uni, but I didn't mind because I got it for free. But DS3 is paying over £9,000 a year and has had two ten week terms and one three week term .

  • Boo to result about the accounts but at least you tried.

Glad you had a nice day back to work.

Hope you enjoy your downtime this afternoon xx
