  • I'm feeling very smug :D. DH and I have made PPI claims today on:

    My two credits cards
    Two storecards
    A catalogue account of mine
    Two packaged bank accounts

Yesterday we made claims on five of DH's credit cards.

    :j :j

We're just having a lunch break and then we're going to claim on our current mortgage and our old mortgage.

I'm very pleased with myself and DH because for years we've been victims that have been kicked around like a football by the financial institutions. They've traded on our ignorance, poverty and desperation to exploit and make money from us. Finally we're fighting back :j.

I'm full of admiration for you doing all that. It's one thing to have such claims on a long list of 'round tuits', and quite another to actually do it.:T:T:T:T I really hope your diligence is rewarded (isn't there a 'fingers crossed' emoji?)

You mention your 2 cc's, and 5 of OH's? How many were there altogether (sorry if this is being too nosey).
  • Well done, fingers crossed that something comes back to you xx

We started out with one credit card each. Three kids came along, I became a full time parent, we maxed out our credit cards and were paying high interest. So DH took out another credit card and did a balance transfer. He was unable to transfer the whole amount so he couldn't close the original CC. Rinse and repeat a few times for both of us :(.

DH had two CCs in the past that were paid off and closed. But when Stepchange got involved (and to be fair it was our bank that told us to contact them!) DH had four credit cards and I had two credit cards, so six CCs between us. Hence the high level of our debts :(.

We also had various storecards and catalogues in the past (more than I can remember) but managed to pay them off before our debt crisis point was reached.

I've had £24.90 owing me on OnePoll for several days, and then just now I look and the final 10p has appeared from nowhere - very strange, but obviously I'm happy as this particular £25 has taken longer than usual to accrue.

That's exactly what happened to me Elizabeth :T. I got a free 10p from nowhere that took me up to £30, very kind of them :D.

I've just noticed that One Poll have changed the cash out limit. It was £30 when I cashed out recently and now it's £25!

DH and I have now made PPI claims on:

    [strike]Five credit cards (DH)[/strike] DONE
    [strike]Two credits cards (me)[/strike] DONE
    [strike]One storecard (me)[/strike] DONE
    [strike]One storecard (DH)[/strike] DONE
    [strike]A catalogue account (me)[/strike] DONE
[strike]One packaged bank account (me)[/strike] DONE
[strike]One packaged bank account (DH)[/strike] DONE
    [strike]An old mortgage (joint)[/strike] DONE
    [strike]Current mortgage (joint)[/strike] DONE

I've no idea if any of them will pay out, or even if we had PPI on all of them. We know for sure that we did have PPI on one CC, and DH is convinced we had it on the first mortgage and one or two other CCs, but isn't positive of all of the details.

Anyway I'm proud of me and DH for submitting the claims, even if none of them are successful. At least we tried :T :j :T.

We're going to take a short break and then start work on the VAT return. This is turning out to be a tiring day but it's vey satisfying to be able to tick so many things off our to do list :).

OnePoll seem to have started making up that last 10p if you get stuck short - happened to me last time too! Power of Opinions however won't give you a single measly point to take you to cashout level... (Go on, ask how I know...!) :rotfl:
