  • Thanks Carboot I always enjoy seeing my sister, I just wish she lived a bit nearer.

I'm glad you've got some PA surveys. I've only had three this week so my golden streak is over. I had one YG one though and that's a rare beast!

I slept really badly last night :(. Worried about money, work (or lack of it) and the DC :(.

I was also worried about volunteering, I get nervous about going but really enjoy it when I get there! One of the teaching assistants lives on a farm and she brought in two lambs for the children to see today, they were so cute :).

Now I'm looking forward to the long weekend. Gardening tomorrow (if it doesn't rain too much), an NT place on Saturday with sister and parents, Sunday is flexible, go out somewhere on Monday, meal to celebrate sister's birthday on Wednesday evening. So lots to look forward to :T.

Have a great weekend everyone :).

  • Happy Easter everyone :easter_os. The Easter bunny (me) came this morning and delivered chocolate eggs to all the grown up children :D.

We had to pick up something from Mr M this morning (rolls eyes) and I was drawn to the plant section. We decided to splash out on six primulas for £3 to brighten up the garden. There's nothing flowering at all at the moment as our mini daffodils seem to have given up the ghost . It's just a mass of green overgrown bushes and weeds .

I'm going to go out in a minute, plant up the primulas in a pot and then pull up a few weeds. I need to get on top of it before all the plants go into hyperdrive and take over the garden . It's only a small garden but that makes it worse because there is no excuse for it to not look perfect!

Have a great day all :).

Extremely late with this but - happy belated birthday. Glad you had a lovely day and that you sound a lot better in yourself.

Have a lovely Easter and enjoy spending time with your sister.:easter:
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • I've planted up the Primulas in a pot and they look lovely from the kitchen window, a splash of colour in the garden, well worth £3 :T. I pruned the bush that was right under the kitchen window because it was blocking our view of the Primulas, and pulled up a few more weeds. It's a drop in the ocean compared to what needs doing but it's a start :).

I'd like to get some more flowers soon to put by the front door, although we'll need another bag of potting compost :(. I always hope that if we have some nice plants in the front it will distract people from the peeling paint :o.

I've emptied the kitchen bins and got rid of all the rubbish bags that had built up in the garden while I had flu. I've also put some laundry on to wash. :T.

Now I'm resting because I've given myself a back ache and I need to conserve some energy for our day out tomorow.

DH and DS1 are eating Easter eggs today, so I sucumbed to a £1 chocolate orange in Mr M. If you can't beat them, join them :D.

    Thanks SA I'm getting there.

I don't feel ill any more but I've lost a lot of muscle tone and fitness while I was ill. The slightest thing seems to give me a backache or aching legs , but I'm going to rebuild my fitness gradually.

Is it just me or is gardening particularly tiring? I always get backache after gardenig .

You have a great Easter too SA :).
