  • Thanks Carboot :).

A shame about the earrings but as you say they were a want rather than a need. Although a little bit of what we want can be good for us occasionally :).

    Thank you:)

I think I've gone without anything nice for so long while trying to throw every penny at my debts that the experience of buying things for myself so I didn't disgrace myself at my bother's funeral seems to have gone to my head:o. I still feel like a million dollars in my 'new to me' charity shop black coat and I wear it whenever I go out, even to the supermarket at 7 in the morning:rotfl:. It's made me want nice accessories too but I know that's just me being frivolous and silly:o

It's not frivolous and silly to want nice things, it's NORMAL. I'm glad you love your coat and I think you should treat yourself more often!

  • Hi everyone :).

I feel much more 'normal' today. I went for my park walk this morning (albeit a shorter one because my legs got tired). It was a bit soggy underfoot but I saw lots of daffodils and a magnolia tree blooming :). And now I'm cooking a 'proper' meal instead of shoving something in the oven. So I'm feeling very virtuous today :D.

I did a £2 PA survey and I felt like we got a reasonable amount of work done in the office. I've eaten healthily all day too so feel much more energetic.

I was pleased on my birthday because DS1 gave me a lovely card and has ordered me a Penguin Books mug (I've always wanted one of those :D), DS2 gave me some little silver elephant earrings and DS3 gave me a box of Roses.

It means so much when your grown up children bother to buy you things :).

I hope everyone is having a good Tuesday.

  • They're nice aren't they? :D. I'd love to collect the lot but they're a bit pricey. I have two of the Penguin tote bags that were given to me as gifts :).
