Happy to hear from you, Hairy, and I'm so sorry to hear about the TA cover finishing. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you applying for other jobs.
My DH stopped teaching in the 70's due to stress, & I see it's got no better.
Your garden sounds a delight. We spent the w/e with DD1 and DSIL in their new house, having not seen them for 15 mths (FAR too long!), and taking advantage of fabulous weather by opening their bifold doors at the back made the lounge suddenly huge as it encompassed their little garden. We went out 3 times over the w/e which seemed really strange, and visiting a Costa I found myself unfamiliar with so many current protocols !
I found it interesting that you mentioned feeling relaxed by the sea. In my mother's last few months, I visited/helped for half of every week, and used to go for walks along the promenade in the afternoons. There is something very calming and restful about looking out to the ever-changing sea.3 -
Hopefully you’ll get some nice rest over the half term holiday and can unwind.I love the sea too, it’s my happy place xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

I slept really deeply last night but woke up feeling like my head was full of concrete. This has morphed into a headache that neither paracetamol nor drinking water has been able to banish. I still feel nauseous too 😔. I'm fed up with feeling ill. This is the fifth day since I broke up and I've spent four of them feeling ill so far 😞. Anyway enough moaning. I'm very thankful for being fully vaccinated and it goes to show how poorly I would feel if I actually caught the dreaded virus.
I've done nothing this morning apart from personal grooming and I think the headache may be a bit less severe. We've arranged to meet aunt, uncle, cousins and their children at a NT place this afternoon. I want to go because I haven't seen them for ages and I'm hoping the fresh air might help my headache to go. It was dull and a bit showery this morning but the sun is peeking out now, so this bodes well for the outing. I expect we'll have coffee while we're out, but I'll try to restrain myself in the NT shop as I don't want to spend much at the moment.
I'm hoping I'll feel better tomorrow as I want to weed the front and back gardens, and go to the garden centre for some summer flowers. I also have a ton of ironing and housework that needs doing. Fingers crossed.
I've decided that I need to improve my diet. I've been feeling a bit miserable since January, probably due to lockdown and the constant rain and wind we had. This low mood has been relflected in my diet and I've got into the habit of eating chocolate every Sunday (not just one bar but four Wspas or Twrls in one go 😬). Chocolate has a negative effect on my mood and energy levels plus I'm putting on weight. I've also been eating too many snacks after school so I need to cut down on these. In addition I think I need to do more walking to build up my fitness and help to dissipate stress. I'm helping that healthy eating and more walks will help to improve my mood and give me more energy. Healthy eating was how I coped with losing my mum as I simply couldn't afford to do anthing that made me feel more emotional.
Anyway I need to get ready to go out now. Have a good Wednesday everyone 🙂.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

You certainly won’t be the only one who’s turned to chocolate or whatever during the pandemic and looking to get healthier. Rather than cut it out altogether and feel deprived, perhaps you should make sure you only have the one bar in the house or buy the fun size bars, take out a couple and hide the rest. You could replace your after school snacks with healthy ones. Getting out and about in the fresh air for a walk should help your mood too.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Hope you feel better soon Hairy the vaccines seem to effecting some people quite badly but your are right that's it's preferable to getting the virus. I'm hoping that as time goes on and people have their boosters the side effects will lessen 🤞
It started off chucking it down here today then was really sunny and now it's gone cloudy and grey again. Hopefully the ran will hold off for tour outing. I love NT gift shops and can't be trusted not to buy anything even if it's just a jar of jam or my favourite lemon curd 😀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8944 -

. I'm an all or nothing person as far as chocolate is concerned so I find it easier to cut it out completely rather than have a small amount. My after school snacks are fruit and bread but I need to cut down on the volume as even healthy food can make you overweight if the quantities are too great. Walking helps to reduce my appetite so if I walk more I'll probably eat less.

Yes I hope that if we need autumn boosters then the side effects may be less. I'm fatallly attracted to NT shops but I managed to avoid going into it today.
