Yesterday was dull and drizzly and lunchtime seemed endless 😒. However on a brighter note a teacher brought in a bucket of daffodils and told all the staff to take a bunch home with them 🙂. In the classroom the teacher spent ages explaining the maths learning, then one little boy said he didn't know how to do the work as he hadn't been listening, he then burst out crying and said he didn't want to be in school but his dad had made him come 🙄🤣. There's never a dull moment in school!
This morning went fairly smoothly, except that I felt my head was stuffed with cotton wool 😞. Does anyone else feel like they are getting more slow -witted as they get older? Or am I just feeling under stress? I feel as though my thought processes have got much slower than they used to be 😞 . Lunchtime seemed never-ending again as it was cold, windy with bursts of heavy rain 🌬🌧☔. Every time we thought about taking the children indoors the rain became less heavy but then started hammering down again. I was glad when lunchtime finished. After lunch I was able to come home, but had to help DH calculate the vat return 😣.
I'm feeling a bit miserable and world weary today, perhaps I've got the January blues. I'm fed up with walking around in the wind and the rain, feeling cold and not having anything to look forward to. Spring seems a long way away 😔.

How lovely to get the daffodils.
Always a lovely reminder that spring is on the way.
100 % with you on becoming more slow & dim witted as I get older.

It's that time of year when Spring seems so far away isn't it. I don't think that helps with the mood. Lovely about the daffodils though, ours are starting to come up in the garden.
Hope you have a relaxing evening and a better day tomorrow x"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee5 -
How nice to get the daffodils. I might go out tomorrow and try to find some to cheer me up!I hear your comment on getting more slow-witted with age. II've thought it about myself for ages!

I’m with you on the getting slower with things as we're getting older. Just getting up from the floor when I’ve bent down to a low shelf would give Peter Kay enough material for his show 😂😂😂😂
I think it’s just been grey, dank and miserable out there - Christmas lights have gone (except I still ah e fairy lights on the fence 😄) and even in normal years it’s a dreary time of year.....never mind this year. Spring is around the corner though and the lights will slowly get lighter, the spring bulbs are breaking through - we just need this vaccine to do it’s magic.January spends - £587.586 -
The rain has been awful and non stop here today so not surprising you feel like that. It is dark, gloomy and not nice outside. Things are changing though as you have said and it wont be long until the spring really is upon us. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x7 -
Daffodils are my favourite flower, so bright and cheerful. The weather doesn’t help with mood, it was dark, damp and gloomy here too but seemed milder than of late. I got wet a couple of times taking the dog out. We usually start seeing some half decent weather in February so not long now.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

What a moany post this is!
However, remember it's YOUR diary and you're allowed, maybe even encouraged, to 'moan' as much as you need !!6
