Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I had a lovely time meeting aunt and uncle at the NT place 🙂, despite heavy rain 💧☂️🌧. We had a takeaway coffee and wandered around the gardens, which had some beautiful garlands and wreaths made of holly and other winter foliage☘🌿🍃 . There were also some lights set around the gardens and in trees, so it looked quite festive even in the rain 🎄🎄🎄 . I bought a half price tree ornament for DS1 and a half price advent candle for next Christmas in the shop. It was nice to chat to aunt and uncle and I enjoyed going to a NT garden for the first time since half term 🙂. We handed over a bag of presents to aunt and uncle from us and from their son who gave us them when we collected DS3. So our hall is looking less cluttered now .
On the way home I tried to get a Quorn roast in two different supermarkets and failed. I ended up buying myself a nut roast, but DS1 has decided to have turkey as he hates nuts. I also got a few other bits we needed, like washing up liquid and beefburgers for tonight's dinner. After that we delivered a present and three Christmas cards to friends 🎅, before coming home.
I hope everyone had had a good day and I'm sorry to those who have been moved up a tier. If we're patient we'll get through this eventually. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Happy Christmas eve everyone 🎅.
I wrapped up all the presents this morning whilst eating chocolates and listening to Christmas music 😃. Since then I've done two lots of washing, which I want to dry today so I can take the clothes horses down, and I've emptied the kitchen bins again as the dustmen have been.
We've watched Elf with DS3 🎅 and now DH is playing a game on DS2's PS4 whilst the rest of us watch. We're planning to watch Fred Claus tonight after dinner. DH is going to cook so I'll put up some Christmas lights in the breakfast room while he's doing it.
The weather has been much better today with sunny spells ☀️ but we've had some heavy showers 🌦. I've been feeling really tired and had a headache in the morning, but I think it's just the gruelling couple of weeks we've had, so I deliberately haven't overdone things today so that I've had time to rest.
If I don't get on here tomorrow I hope everyone has as nice a Christmas as they're able to 🎅⛄🎄🎁.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Happy Xmas Eve to you.
I've wanted to see Elf for ages, but I never see it on the Freeview menu. However, we did just watch the Tiger whom came to tea - again. It's delightful for children of all ages !
Hope you have a lovely family Xmas tomorrow, with enjoyable food and not too much hard work xx
