That's a handy tip about Ph*tobox, HHoD. I've printed out several old 19th century family photos at home this year & it does use a lot of ink. It didn't occur to me to get them done externally.
We like to sit in our garden for coffee all year round too. I like to have a couple of tubs of bulbs planted up near the 'coffee bench' so that I can look for early signs of spring.
Good idea about 5 cheap pairs of fingerless gloves for school. I have arthritis in my hands too & find they are best kept warm in winter.
Glad your partner's hip diagnosis wasn't what you feared.

I I get my mum fingerless gloves every year from Primani , they are very cheap , not sure if you have one in your town.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.6

I am also a fan of fingerless gloves as they can be worn inside and out. I try to get big ones so I can draw my fingers up into the glove if my fingers get cold.
Glad DH does not have something more serious. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

F x. They charge 15p per print for standard sized photos and 25p per print for 7" x 5" photos, plus £4 for postage. I had 60 photos printed recently for just under a tenner including postage as they had a 40% off deal and I'm delighted with them. It would have cost us a lot more if we'd printed them ourselves and our printer wouldn't have printed them as nicely.
I'm glad DH and I aren't the only ones who have coffee in the garden in the winter.

Glad DH does not have something more serious.. They are useful at school for doing up children's shoelaces, zips, etc, without taking my gloves off.

I was freezing all day at school today 😨. Half the children had their coats on in the classroom and there were leaves in the corridor 🍂🍃that had blown in as the door to the playground was open! I only wore a long sleeved top today which felt fine yesterday, but today felt much colder so I need to start wearing my new cardigans as well as a long sleeved top. At least the promised heavy rain turned out to be occasional drizzle 💦 so the children were able to play outside. I kept on the move to kept warm as it was too cold to stand still!
Some people at school seemed to have become annoyed with other people at school and vice versa today 🙄, but I managed stay out of it and not get involved! I think everyone is getting tired and cold and fed up with the virus measures which makes everything harder.
Despite everything I enjoyed my day at school though 🙂.
Now I'm home I'm warming up under a wool blanket, wearing fingerless gloves and drinking hot tea. Bliss 🧤☕.
Tomorrow I'm going shopping to swop the yukky cardigan for a nicer colour, try and buy two more cheap cardigans, try and buy five pairs of cheap fingerless gloves 🧤 and buy some bird feeders for the tree outside our kitchen window. When I get home I'm going to wash the rest of my winter clothes including my thick winter coat to wear in the playground as I was as snug as a bug in it last winter. I also want to do new photo collages for the kitchen with my lovely new photos that arrived yesterday.
Tonight I'm going to enjoy relaxing though as I've been rushing around like a lunatic all day (sorting out tiny lunatics at school 🤣).
I hope everyone is having a good Friday 🙂.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
