Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Well my day started quite efficiently. I got up at 8am and cleaned the washbasin in the bathroom.
Then I decided to walk up to the post office to combine my daily walk with buying stamps. But the small post office is shut due to the virus 😕 so I walked back home. DH suggested we drive to a larger one so we did and then he said while I was there why didn't I collect a prescription for DS2.
Well that was the morning gone! I queued outside the post office for the stamps and then queued for about thirty minutes outside the chemist and decided I may as well pop into Sup3rdrug for some toiletries I needed so as to avoid future shopping trips.
Social distancing was being observed which made the queues seem longer than they actually were. A few people wore masks and gloves but not very many. I finally got to the front of the very long chemist queue and the chap behind me got told to come back tomorrow 😱. He didn't cry or punch the employee so I thought he did very well🤣 but he did look a bit aghast, poor chap. There was a security guard in charge of the chemist queue and at one point he yelled to someone at the back "Put it away!" 😱. I've got no idea what the shifty looking guy at the back got out of his pocket, but the security guard wasn't too happy about it.
I bought 12 first class and 12 second class stamps to avoid future trips to the post office and posted two birthday cards to close relatives. DS2's prescription was there thankfully. Then I bought two conditioners, three dental flosses and a giant bottle of hand cream in Sup3rdrug. I bought plenty of everything to avoid future shopping trips and saved a lot of money with multibuys 🤑.
So a productive session, but it was lunchtime when I got back and I feel really tired now. Shopping is quite stressful at the moment as you're queuing up for ages and trying to keep your distance from people, which isn't always easy. Plus the walk up the hill to the shut post office made me feel out of breath and made my legs ache 😓. I don't know why I'm so tired at the moment unless it's due to stress 🤔.
I'm having a good long rest now and then I'll see what else I can face tackling from my to do list.
I hope everyone is having a good and safe Friday.

If you need anything from Superdrug in future they do a free delivery service if you have their loyalty card no minimum spend. I'm trying to limit my trips to the shops and only go if I really need to, I'm also finding the experience quite stressful.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

. I didn't know that. I do have their loyalty card so I'll take advantage of that next time I need some stuff. It's the queuing and trying to keep away from people that's stressful 😥.

I've managed to do a couple more things from today's list. The Mr T shop is finally out of quarantine so I've been able to put it away and free up a corner of the kitchen. I also emptied all the bins in the house and put them in the wheelie bins in the lane. Now my neck hurts and I feel really tired so I'm going to rest now.
I have a frighteningly long list of housework that needs doing (I've been neglecting it since working full time 🤫), far too long to list here. But I have two weeks off school so I'm going to work my way through it. I also want to get four college assignments done over the next fortnight and do a daily walk. If I start to feel a bit fitter and less achey I'll add a yoga session to my day.
I feel much more motivated today so perhaps the stress induced lethargy is starting to pass.
DH did well today too. He's re-arranged the office and has almost made room for the bookcase which is still sitting in our living room in front of our fireplace. It will be good to get that moved upstairs in the next few days and then we'll have more room for books. I've told DH he can have it for his sci-fi and fantasy book collection so he's very pleased.

Belated congratulations about your niece and glad the other niece is improving.
I hope you find some new things to keep you occupied. I made a latch-hook rug once, I'm not crafty at all, but it's still in use and I still love it!

Have a lovely couple of weeks off. I hope the energy lasts. I will feel better when I've got through a few jobs but I need to pace myself so I don't pull another muscle.
