It's also our wedding anniversary today, 33 years married and we've known each other for 37 years. Now I feel old .
Congratulations !
We're up to 48 years (50 years known) and I'm sure I don't know where the years have gone !!
But I did know at the time of getting married that OH was the person I wanted to grow old with - and here we are in our 'elderlyhood'.0 -
Thank you Elizabeth
. I felt like that too when I met DH.

Happy anniversary.
The teacher/TA situation is a bit rubbish. Would the Teacher take a role of a TA though? I'm not sure that they would considering what they can do.
Hope you have a lovely weekend. Make sure you rest this weekend after being back . xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x0 -

I wondered about that too. Maybe the teacher is dipping her toe in the water after a period of absence, maybe bringing up her children until the youngest started school. That's what I did, not that I was a teacher, but my own profession seemed to have moved on very quickly by the time I was ready to go back after several years out and I took any role just to get back into the workplace environment I hoped to develop my career in. Maybe the teacher at your school, HH, is easing herself in gently and may move back into teaching soon. I hope so.
Happy Anniversary to you and DH:T:dance:_party_. I hope you both can find a bit of time to celebrate this weekend. A good, long marriage, especially these days, deserves to be celebrated:beer:0 -

I asked the teacher if they were going to volunteer for a bit and then apply for teaching jobs and they replied yes or TA jobs. So I definitly have a rival there for any jobs that may come up
. Not that any jobs are guaranteed to come up for either of us.
Anyway all I can do is keep volunteering until I've got my Level 3 and then consider my options. I do feel down about it this evening though.
Thank you for the anniversary wishes.

That's a bit carp about the TA situation
I hope you can continue with your level 3. Not surprised you feel cheesed off
Happy AnniversaryI've known Mr SA since 1983. I went out with him for 3 weeks then packed him in because I didn't like him :rotfl: What happened there??

Long-time lurker delurking to say I hope you feel less despondent today. Sometimes it's hard to remember how much progress you've made, but it seems like only 5 minutes ago you weren't volunteering or earning at all! It's natural to want to progress and I sincerely hope you get a TA role at some point. For now, you are doing all the right things, doing all the right courses and proving how competent and responsible you are. So when opportunities do come up, you will be in a good position. I do understand it can seem frustrating if there are qualified teachers potentially in the mix, too, but this time last year you hadn't done any of your qualifications, and now look at you! For now, you need to focus on getting the level 3 done and then you can reassess. You're doing brilliantly! M1000
