Not sure if this is the correct place to ask
I was looking to buy an item; the seller had this in their listing:
EXTRA 10% OFF WHEN YOU BUY 2 OR MORE
It worked out as a good price [with the 10% off]
So I bought two of the items [they were eligible items for the offer]
The person has multiple listings – and on the first one it wouldn’t let you buy a second
So I bought it through another of his listings
All fine. The 10% came off. I notice that he’s sold out on both listings. I believe he only had one of this particular item [he specialises in selling cards – but I need/wanted a very particular deck for it’s size and style, I had found his listing because I had googled that particular deck]
I now don’t think he has 2 decks for sale, if my hunch is correct – does he cancel the whole order, so I can buy elsewhere if I like. Or does he offer me the single deck at the 10% off price [as he had listed the item twice]
Or is it not fair to pay 10% less – just because he listed the item in two different places [?]
I just wonder what is fair.
As if he says he only has one, I will ask if he will sell it to me at the lower price – and if not won’t buy it – as it’s cheaper elsewhere. But I don’t want to suggest that if that is rude [?]
You can tell I don’t use eBay much – so am not sure of the etiquette
I remember some time ago people waiting for shops to misprice things and then buy loads of them and then complain when the shop didn’t honour that. I’m not talking like that I just want to be fair and not rude. Wondered if anyone had any experience or better still knowledge
Thanks for any help x

This thread would probably get better responses on the Ebay board.
Perhaps ask a board guide to move it.0 -
Sorry it took me 10 years to make my first post
Then I put it into the wrong board

Has he said he doesn't have the stock?0
