Does AutoTrader cover the north?

To be fair to the OP then the travel time to Scotland may well be far less than that to go to London, even if distances are similar or even less.
Also the risk of significant delays is far higher, congestion and crashes can add hours to any grave, and are more likely and frequent in the more densely populated south, or Midlands.0 -
It seems you're the ridiculous one.
Anybody claiming Manchester is somehow in the Midlands is a bit ridiculous, really.
Since you went searching for a map to try and prove some point that nobody is really interested in anyway you really did shoot yourself in the foot with it.
For one i never said midlands as in the regions listed. I said central, as in the sense of its positioning. While i'm not going to get my compass and ruler out (i'll leave that to you since it seems your kind of thing to do) it looks central-ish on that map.
But since we're OCD suffers here i'll admit that it isn't precisely the centre. It's just central-ish. Yes before you rush to say i never said central-ish, i know i didn't, but then i didn't realise i was in a courtroom either where every letter is under scrutiny. Jesus Christ!!
But while we're at it, with your map & talk of the midlands, look how close it is to the tip of the east midlands. Not very far away is it now. Certainly way closer than you seem to be saying.
What sort of moron are you?some pathetic "I won't go south - it's a den of thieves!"
Why the need to add on your extra nonsense? Eh?
You couldn't just stop at saying "I wont go south" you have to add on some extra line of crap that wasn't said and for what? Dramatic effect? Looking for attention?
I said i wont drive to London & that's the end of it. Do i need to justify to you as to why i wont? No. Is it important? No. I just told you i wont do it & that's the end of it. Feel free to add more crap that i didn't say.
And for the record, for you & your 40 miles, i've driven to Glasgow and i've been a passenger to London. Glasgow was reached significantly quicker and easier than London. Again feel free to add on more whatever that i didn't even say.0 -
Yeah i remember a few years ago. I say a few years it was more like 10 years ago, we were going to London. It was cheaper to fly out from Manchester than it was to go by train. It was excellent. 25 minutes later we were there. Superb! It's like having my dinner break at work & having 5 minutes spare and i'm in London.vikingaero wrote: »It can sometimes depend on certain make, models and type of car you want. I paid £56 to fly to Glasgow to collect one of my cars and the trains wanted triple that.
When we've been since i've always checked out flight prices but they were always dearer after that.
It also depends on budget too, for me at least. If we were talking about a car that cost a good few thousand, say £7k upwards, then i'd certainly be more willing to travel further.
But we're talking a couple grand so there's an increase chance of it being a bad egg so i don't really want to go running here there & everywhere if i don't have to.0 -
Did I miss what u looking for and price cap? Might give a clue0

I've done that. Years ago we got dirt cheap return flights to Glasgow from London to check out a car a relative had recommended. Bought it on the spot- there's real bargains up there. Tore up our return tickets and drove the car back south. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

To put it in to perspective i'm in the North West & i set the radius on national.
Some times there'll be a car or two ever so slightly north & by ever so slightly i mean a stones throw, but almost always they are east or south. Nothing ever approaching Scotland for example.
I hate driving South too
I'd rather drive 200 miles north than 100 miles south.
I know it's going to be a simple yes/no answer but does it cover cars in the north? I haven't just been looking at one or two cars over the span of a day or so, i've been looking at numerous.
To answer your question, yes AT does cover the North.
However from your budget perspective (£2k I believe), it is my experience that the further north of say Lancaster on the west side, Leeds in the centre, and Tyne & Wear on the east side of the UK you go cars become more expensive with Scotland being the highest.
This is probably because of less competing supply due to lower populations, which is also probably the reason why in areas of large population such as the East and West Midlands secondhand and even new cars are often cheaper than elsewhere.
On your budget, whatever you buy will be a gamble anyway. lol.0
