Does AutoTrader cover the north?

Been looking for a car for sale for a week or so. Every time i find one that may be suitable - it's south. I don't know if this is coincidence or what but it's never north. In fact i never remember finding a car north on there ever.
To put it in to perspective i'm in the North West & i set the radius on national.
Some times there'll be a car or two ever so slightly north & by ever so slightly i mean a stones throw, but almost always they are east or south. Nothing ever approaching Scotland for example.
I hate driving South too
I'd rather drive 200 miles north than 100 miles south.
I know it's going to be a simple yes/no answer but does it cover cars in the north? I haven't just been looking at one or two cars over the span of a day or so, i've been looking at numerous.

Well the 'North West' isn't even that northern, you know there's another 100mi of England left before reaching Scotland right?
I never have any trouble finding cars for sale on AutoTrader in the 'real' north of England or Scotland.0 -
Are you entering your location yourself or letting it (wrongly) work it out from your IP?0
-
Are you limiting price?
My current car was bought from a guy 320 miles away from me. It was a better car, a grand cheaper than I'd looked at locally, and he done the timing belt/serviced it as I was willing to pay the asking price.
So they may just be more expensive up North.0 -

Well he could be north of Carlisle.0 -

Jeez. I'm not going to pretend i know what the most northern point of England is but if i was the house before the final one i'm sure someone would say - that isn't north, there's another house after you before you hit Scotland.
I never said i was at the most northern point of England, but there's a lot more distance below me than there is above me before you hit Scotland.
Yes i'm entering my real post code but granted i have been capping the price to our budget. Found cars in Scotland on eBay. We even bought one from up there since Scotland isn't a problem due to having family up there so we can tie it in with a visit.
I should try taking off the max price filter to see if it throws up results north of me.0 -

Even so, Carlisle would still be 60mi south of the northeastern tip of England.
Not really, I've never heard of anyone referring to Cumbria as a region, unlike north west, north east, Yorkshire and Humber, east and west midlands etc
Since we're referring to the north then surely it would be more local to go the few miles north to Gretna rather than cross the country to go past Berwick?
You're the one that started the pedantry after all.0 -

I've always traveled to get the car I want rather than limit myself to local availability. But then, I would say that because I'm selling a car on autotrader and live down south.JustAnotherSaver wrote: »Been looking for a car for sale for a week or so. Don't miss out on the best deals; buying a car is different to Location Location Location

Good luck in your search.Mornië utulië0
