Claiming off rogue builders insurance

I know someone tried to break in because they dug out a load of putty round the window and tried to wrench the railings around the property out of the ground. Not that has anything to do with it.
So it wasn't anything more than you first thought... a coincidence.
That's good to hear.0 -

What is public liability insurance?
Public liability insurance protects you if clients or members of the public suffer personal injury or property damage because of your business. It can pay for the costs of subsequent legal expenses or compensation claims and is an integral cover for businesses that interact regularly with customers.
A customer slipping or tripping over is one of the most common accidents in the book and can often result in a public liability insurance claim. Watch our consultant Massimo explain what public liability insurance means and why most businesses need it.
Thank you. I read somewhere that it could cover unintended accidental damage such as ruining my bathroom. All that was requested was that he retile some areas about 1.5 m2, which he did really bady resulting in mortor dripping down the sides of the bath and on the walls, on the sink and vanity unity.A builder from the Federation of Master Builder said the whole bathroom needs to be replaced he quoted £15000. But I got three builders to take a look to see how much to make good and they quoted £3500.
Another thing he did was varnish over the entire floor which I never asked him to do, we agreed he would sand down and varnish a worn area. When he varnished he varnished over paint splatters he's made so now according the the federation of master builders the whole floor needs sanding down and varnishing.
Im not sure it that is or is not covered by public liability insurance.
The main thing I am asking is what happens if he doesnt report it to his insurance company, I suspect he wont be indemnified by his insurance company even if I have a valid claim0 -
I'm certain that someone who did a law degree would know what 'stayed' meant in a legal context without having to look it up?0

I see nothing from the OP to suggest the "rogue" builder is a police matter.0

15000 to replace a bathroom? You have diamond encrusted taps? I just refurbished a whole house, New bathroom, Kitchen, Heating, Windows, Decorating the whole house for just slightly more than that0 -

Pretty nasty posts too,and calling just about every contributor a troll, where all they had done was try to help her..
The op claims to have been given a court date for this at the beginning of November.looks like she's not confident of winning0 -
