Veg box quantities Riverford/A&C

The local company I used to get my fruit and veg box from no longer delivers to my area so looking at trying out Abel & Cole for a month (mainly because I have an offer code), then Riverford to see which I like best.
As there are never any approximate quantities, either in weight or number, of each item delivered on the website I was hoping people who get a veg/fruit box from either of those could give me an idea of what to expect. It's just my son and me but I use a lot of fruit and a fair amount of veg per week as I'm vegan so thinking either separate small fruit and veg boxes or a small to medium mixed box, depending obviously on quantities.
Thanks in advance

Sorry, just seen this or would have responded before!
I eat mostly vegan meals and am and living alone and mostly cooking for just one. I get Riverford's smallest veg box (alternating between the 'roots' and 'no roots' option) and a medium sized fruit bag each week. I'll occasionally get a salad bag too but more often will just add in cucumber and tomatoes as individual items as often get salad greens as part of the main box. I find that works well for me and I usually end up batch cooking and freezing some meals for weeks when I don't get a box, usually when I am away for the weekend. I'd recommend starting with a small box for you, or a medium sized fruit and veg box.
Also used A&C in the past and did more or less the same, but I prefer Riverford's ethics.0 -
I use Riverford, I live alone and mainly eat veggie meals with some fish if I'm low on calories. I get the large low roots Veg and fruit box each week.
It does depend on what else you eat, I'm trying not to eat any processed food, so my meals consist of veg, beans and some fish, that means to eat 2000 calories a day I have to eat a LOT of veg
my box is due tomorrow so I'll try and post a photo of the contentsI am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. Hi, thank you both.
I have already trialled A&C and not worth the money imo, I know it's all lovely and organic but I was very disappointed with the amounts in the box I got.
I'd be interested to see your Riverford box contents though, Glad, I haven't tried them yet.
I, too am home cooking everything, using as little processed food as I can so I know I will use everything in the box, I'm just curious as to whether the amounts will be worth the price.
Thank you Never say never0 -
There were a fair few damaged things in the A&C box too Never say never0

Hi girlybags, this is today's box
that's the large fruit and veg box with less roots as I don't eat potatosall the produce has been really fresh each week and I've never had anything I couldn't use, the cauliflowers are always enourmous, last week we blitzed one in the food processor and there was enough to make 3 pizza bases!
the fruit bottom right are 2 pomegranates and green satsumasI am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. it's very flexible, I have my delivery on a thursday and I can make changes up to 11.45pm on tuesday night. I usually add extras such as eggs, cheese, butter if we need it because it's good quality and organicI am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards.
