Is this an actual joke....!

So after winning against Excel in court (well-documented on here) I have followed up with complaints to various bodies including the IPC. The basis of my complaint is that Excel's signage was proven in court to not comply with the IPC Code of Practice, so what are IPC going to do about it....?

So IPC asked Excel what they thought and from their whole nonsense of a response this part was particularly amusing/depressing depending upon your mood at the time...
I (Excel) can confirm that this matter has since been through the courts and a judge did rule in favour of (the defendant). This however does not mean that Excel Parking is in the wrong and we did not comply with the IPC Code of Practice. One decision that goes against us does not mean that every other PCN issued or appeal decision found in our favour is wrong

What the duck!!!!

And the IPC response....
Having reviewed your complaint and the operators response I have been unable to locate a breach of the Code of Practice

So just confirms what many of us thought all along, Excel and IPC clearly feel they are above the law.

Will post full complaint & response on later if anyone is interested?

In your complaint did you itemise the breaches of the IPC CoP?

Would be worth seeing the full texts of both. :)

Oh yes, I would like to see it. A bit of weekend amusement to look forward to.

Excel "despite losing in court on the point that the District Judge said our signage does not comply with the IPC CoP, this does not mean that we did not comply with the IPC CoP"

Yes please - and do write to your MP about this farce, it's important right now that MPs are primed to assist the new Bill through Parliament. This is a copy of a post by Bargepole:

    "Some action at last:

    http://services.parliament.uk/bills/2017-19/parkingcodeofpractice.html

This Private Member's Bill has Government and cross-party support, and stands a good chance of making it into statute.

The full text of the clauses will be published nearer the date of the second reading, but my sources tell me it's something we should support.

Now would be a good time to write to your MP urging them to support it."

You tried but scammers will always dream up a fake reply

I laughed at the Excel comment, living in the cloud 9 scenario again

The IPC is the biggest scam, a Gladstones invention that
    the government never noticed ???

    But the future looks good

As you know, from the 1st of Oct there are new procedures
to follow when these legals such as BWLegal, the Excel bunch,
    issue a claim.
The BWLegal business model is volume and cheap.
You could say that BWLegal is the £pound store for the
    parking scammers

1st of October means that instead of just issuing a robo claim
they will have major hoops to go through as evidence for
    the court.

As the BWLegal model is to do this on the cheap, they now
have to consider if it's financially practical to proceed and
at the same time face a defeat in court

Early next year, the private members bill will mean that
the Code of Practice is in the hands of government and
    not scammers like the IPC

At this stage, I doubt the government understand how many
    complaints they will receive.

Excel needs to pull their socks up as they will no longer
have the support of the scam IPC

The EXCEL way could easily mean they are sacntioned

    Hopefully this works

I'm most proud of the fact Excel call me 'steadfast'

Tracey, I really do admire your continued attack on the
IPC but just like the scam masters who set up the IPC,
Gladstones solicitors, they are brain dead
Excel pay the scam IPC a membership fee so all you can
expect is another fob off. THIS IS SCAMMERS ALLEY

Your best bet is to expose the scam to your MP and ask why
the government gave Gladstones/IPC/IAS the power to run
a scam and become a ATA

Right now, Theresa May is in a very weak position, use it
    to your avantage
  • Thanks for all the comments, I'll be writing to my MP (again), I did contact him when this all started and he pretended to be interested but then did precisely nothing....

And although I'm fully aware I'm dealing with scammers and am never going to get a sensible response from any of them, it gives me some quiet satisfaction to know that I am wasting their time every time they have to respond to me, and hopefully I am really really annoying them now :rotfl:

Why not fire all that off to David Dunford of the DVLA and ask him to investigate this clear bias towards the PPC by the IPC - especially failing to even acknowledge that a judge found for you, the consumer, and against Excel.
