Try not to worry, mine also fluttered off the windscreen completely in the same car park but they still discontinued court proceedings two days before we were due to go to court.
This thread and Claxtome's support was invaluable to me so I'd advise you to keep referring to it as you progress through the next 9 months or so of hassle as everything you need will be here.
You do need to start your own thread though!

I want to call the claimant as a witness too. Does this need to be done before or after WS are exchanged? Is there a formal process for this?
