    Still doing well:

6/160 NSD This means only 3 spend days of the year so far
2/52 weeks savings Currently on £40, if all goes to plan then I should have £1500 at the end of the year for an overpayment

All pots still looking healthy, I really need to go and get a new tyre on the car though, I have £160 in the car pot now so that will be covered. I also have £120 left in the entertainment pot with only plans for one day so far this month. I do need to book a hotel for March so may do that from this months pot if its still looking healthy towards the end of the month.

I currently have £21.95 either to use as an overpayment or put towards savings.

Revising isn't going too badly thank you, I am starting to make progress with the module I've been struggling with. We will see if it all pays off when I sit the exam next week! Less than 2 weeks and they will all be over (for now). Hope you're doing ok, I will catch up with your diary when I'm stressing less about exams and how messy the house is!

Quick update to keep myself in check

    8/160 NSDs
    4/365 Items cleared
3/52 weeks savings (£1-£52 per week)
Pots still ok although I am slightly worried about the grocery pot, an area I always struggle with but I will make do with what I have. I have been making extra portions recently and popping them in the freezer to save for the end of the month when things will no doubt be a little tighter.

9 NSDs so far this month, having this target is really making me think about the tiny purchases that really add up. Pots are still looking OK even with putting around £50 of my entertainment budget into my savings pot.

Food pot is at £82.42. I have dinner for the next 2/3 days but I will need to do a big shop soon. If I plan my meals out carefully using what I have in the house already then this should be fine.

Good to hear things are ticking over nicely with you DFD - we're trying to eat from freezer and stores at the moment too - I listed the freezer contents on Sunday, now just have to work out what meals can be made from them!

I need to do this again, I have a rough idea of whats in the freezer but there's probably something in there that I have forgotten about. I think its good to do this every now and again to have a good clear out and then build it up again with fresh stuff, unless of course you are good at keeping on top of this anyway.

Still doing ok on the money front, my car will need filling in the next week so this pot will go into a minus figure until next month but then it should balance out. I booked a little caravan holiday for me and the boy, we go every year and its not a huge cost (£150). I will take most of the cost from my remaining Christmas money and I think the holiday pot will be built enough by the time the holiday arrives for our spending money. Time with the boy is the most important thing to me and my exams have been having an affect on him, he's really feeling like I'm no fun at the moment so this should be good for us and gives us something else to look forward to.

Before Christmas I was referred to talking therapy at uni, I had my first session yesterday. I'm not sure what I'm hoping to gain from it but it is making me realise that I have a lot to work on with myself. We were talking about the different 'me's' that exist, mum me, student me and me me. I think one of those has been buried for such a long time that I'm unsure whether I will be able to find her again. I felt a little better after going but also feel like I have a lot of work to do.
