I'm the same as Pauline117 - I love 'beating' the shops! Sorry to hear the exam didn't go as well as you wanted, DFD - like you said you can pull it back... are you normally an exam person? I was always rubbish at exams but with essays (without the strict time pressure) I was much stronger. Glad you had a nice evening with DS, family time is the best2019 Aim: Save £10,000

My first exam at uni (first exam in about 12 years) made me nervous but I did really well in it, there isn't much that makes me nervous though and now exams don't really bother me.Change the way you see things and the things you see will change0

Ooooooohh stationery talk!
Love it. I have to avoid John Lewis etc in case the stationery Imps call me.
I didn't take my best to College as my students never had pens. Any conference I attended meant I would challenge myself to collect as many as possible.
However I have found it really hard to actually use my beautiful notebooks. I still feel a bit wobbly, how daft is that?
Half hour max is ideal. 5 mins or so gap then another half hour then a proper reward. The gap in the middle helps you to refocus on the task.
Mmmmm task for the morning, drewl over my pens and notebooks
Enjoy Sunday

I haven't taken a look at the stationery in John Lewis but I can imagine that I would spend a fortune if I did! I want to go and buy lots of stationery!
Have got some work done today but then I started feeling a little sorry for myself so poured myself a glass of wine and put on a classic romance film that made me cry and probably made me feel worse. I feel so lonely at the moment, people all around me are so happy with their perfect families and I can't seem to find what I want. It's probably a good thing really as I have enough to focus on at the moment anyway.Change the way you see things and the things you see will change0 -
Yes, I am a teacher. Secondary school, and English.
I love stationery. It is my favourite time of the year when a stationery order comes in!September 2017 Debt = £25330

Teaching is why I started my degree although the politics behind it does make me question my choice.Change the way you see things and the things you see will change0

The politics are making it very difficult at the minute. I wouldn't tell anyone not to do it, but it isn't the profession I joined. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

They're not, you know. Some of them probably do their best to make it appear that way, but in my experience those who are trying the hardest to convince everyone that their lives are perfect are probably those who are mostly trying to convince themselves first and foremost. There's no such thing as a perfect family or relationship though.
Ahh stationery - yep, another here who struggles to resist a nice notebook in particular.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Thank you EH, I know that not everyones lives are perfect I just feel like the one thing I have always wanted is just never going to happen for me. I will snap out of it soon, I know deep down that I have to focus on myself, I think it is because DS is getting older and I never wanted a big age gap (always wanted 2) although I am considering actually doing it alone the second time around, more thinking and research required there though.Change the way you see things and the things you see will change0
