The 8" Lenovo has a better screen and the same resolution as the 10", which means more pixels in a smaller screen. I have one and it's great for your posted requirements. Also a much better e book reader than most: Kindle books look good. 16 GB, but upgradeable with an added 64GB with an SD card.

I have also managed to buy an almost new Hudl2, (used twice by a friend's mother, can't get on with it) and been given 3 "scrap" Hudl2's, which I have rebuilt into a good, working tablet christened "Hudlestein" for my grandson. Now I am undecided whether to keep the first Hudl or the Lenovo!I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.

Have you got an SD card in yours ? If so what make and size ? Had no end of problems with mine and it seems well documented they are very fussyThe 8" Lenovo has a better screen and the same resolution as the 10", which means more pixels in a smaller screen. I've a Lenovo 2-in-1 and the only way I can get it to regularly access the SD card is by stuffing a piece of paper into the slot, pushing it into better contact. I'm happy to do that. Even this workaround only works with Sandisk 32Mb; I had a no-name 64Gb that struggles to work in it.Have you got an SD card in yours ? If so what make and size ?
