  • It's a bit late for the OP but in the lounge it's worth getting two points put in so that in the event you want to reorganise the room it's not a PITA. To a lesser extent something to consider with phone sockets as well.

Slightly off piste but electric sockets. I have 2 doubles which isn't enough. I actually need 4 doubles as I have connected: TV, Sat, PS4, Poweramp, subwoofer, Wii, mood lighting.

I would be worried about anything if it was Persimmon. The only experience I have of them was of trying to buy a house that our solicior wouldn't advise us to buy because Persimmon didn't own the land the access to the house was over at the time. There wasn't a problem eventually but no one could say for absolute certainty that there wouldn't be one. We withdrew from the purchase. I wouldn't buy from them again. There tend to be threads on here about them from time to time too.
  • Our Taylor Wimpey has a TV point in the lounge and one in the master bedroom. The aerial cable goes to the loft, but no aerial up there.

They aren't putting Sky points in at this development. So Sky will come and do that for us.

I've not actually used an aerial socket for years, though. Between Sky and the likes of Netflix/iTunes/Amazon prime we haven't had need of it even in the extra bedrooms.
  • Last Persimmon home I purchased had one aerial socket in the sitting room as standard and the connection for this was in the loft but they did not provide an aerial.

Some house builders have them in the loft to try prevent the look of the houses being ruined by lots of dishes and aerials attached to the houses
