Hotmail/outlook E Mails going into draft

Suddenly this afternoon when I try and send any E mails from my Hotmail or Outlook account why do they go into draft rather than being sent. it seems at the moment there is something stopping my E mails being sent. Any advise please

I've been having the same issue all day. There is a massive Outlook outage all over Europe, if not the world. Here is the Downdetector site with logged complaints and updates:

Thank you Quasar! that explains why I haven't heard from my brother today then! And the email I thought I'd sent him is sitting in Drafts.

I'm waiting for work emails. I might lose precious work if I don't reply to them promptly, so I left a voice message at head office and hopefully if there is anything for me they will call me.

Outlook is a free service so I suppose we should be grateful, but stil...

I am experiencing exactly the same problem and could not understand if it was something I had done. Obviously not!!; Is it everybody or just selected people. I have not received any E mails since lunchtime so is that par for the course for everybody. Is there any timescale when they hope to resume normal service. I am waiting for some important holiday documents. so I will probably need to set up urgently another E Mail address outside hotmail/outlook so I can receive them. Any updates will be greatly appreciated

I got an email to outlook.com addresses within 30 seconds 1 minute ago, so it's not everyone

Nothing here. My sent messages are in 'Drafts' and no sign of expected emails!

It's still a bit patchy tbh. Some peeps I know are still waiting.
