Peole who buy courier delivery items when they work long hours

Update, I got it back! buyer contacted me as the tracking said 'sent to wrong depot' I had long given up on checking or expecting to receive it & had offered a refund. A couple of days later it was left on my doorstep by Hermes, in a somewhat battered box, which they had even put extra tape round to secure. I hadn't answered the buyer when she asked if delivery would be free, as wasn't expecting to see it again. Would you agree she should pay for redelivery? (even though logically if I refunded her, or relisted & sold to someone else I would have lost my original delivery cost)0

I think it probably does - private sellers don't get the same consideration, as I know to my cost!0 -

Personally I'd just resend and swallow the cost to get the thing sorted out once and for all.0 -
People buying stuff won't know how deliveries happen - and might just assume that "a postman will turn up and if I'm not here I'll get a postcard and I can collect at the weekend".
Only sellers are au fait with the nuances of deliveries and different companies. Buyers will just think "delivery = the postman" and "missed delivery = postcard in box".0 -

I would not, why should a seller be responsible for the costs of shipping to a buyer who refuses to be responsible for their actions.
If a buyer orders something knowing that they will not be available for delivery, why should they expect the seller to keep resending, at the sellers expense... ????
Refund and block unless you wish to lose more money.0
