    Hi everyone
Well I came home after lunch and went upstairs, My bedroom was a carpet of grey feathers and cat fur, bits of dead bird and blood! Plus two cats lying on my bed who both ran as soon as they saw me. Thanks boys....they had had fun...poor little bird

You see thats why i'm not a cat person. One of my neighbours had 4 cats at one point and they kept bringing dead things into my garden. I dont 'do' dead things so i get her to shift them. She only has 2 cats now and i dont get so many 'gifts.'

I'm supposed to be going out tonight but its chucking down. Hope the rain stops cause i'm going to get soaked.

Judi I was in the PO this morning and noticed that they do MoneyGrams to send money to far flung places...might be easier to do than Western Union?

  • Just back with my brave little grandson he went in to see the dentist on his own as he always does and the dentist had a look and said do you want me to take it out and Mikey said yes please and so he had the jab and the chap whipped it out and all's well in Mikey's world again.I made him some chicken soup and buttered bread and he is sitting doing his homework for school. He is so matter of fact about seeing the dentist and I am so pleased that he has no fear, and take resposibility for himself at 13.
I also managed to get my washing done and dried before it started to rain, another plus for a Monday morning :)

Just having a coffee with my feet up, decided dinner would be freezer surprice as I got a box of something unrecognisable out of the freezer, hopefully it will be defrosted by the time I get back to my house
    Cheers chums .

P.S. your pavlova sound delish Speky I am definitely moving to Scotland :):):)

    Afternoon all

Busy day here. DH collected DD and DGS from Aldi after swimming. took them home and then they came here for lunch. We went to the new soft play at St Peters Church which was amazing. Very friendly atmosphere, reasonably priced and DGS loved it. He made a friend and they played together for an hour and a half. DD hardly had to intervene and Grammie enjoyed watching.

Ds is calling in for dinner this evening so it wall be nice to see him.

Jackie O what a brave boy Mikey is.

Have a good rest of the day everyone.

  • For any other short ar*es like me, you will be pleased to hear M & S short leg length is still 27". The assistant couldn't explain why the pair I was returning measured 29". She said occasionally they allow half an inch discrepancy but never 2". In future I shall take a tape measure when shopping there for trousers as I hate trying on in-store!

Well the forecast was spot on - rain after lunch is what we were promised and is just what we got. Good job I didn't peg out the washing.

    Enjoy your evening folks x

TA - I had the same problem with M&S online regular length trousers. I was told that the ones bought online are different from those in stores! I thought I had shrunk vertically at one point - wouldn't mind shrinking the other way - so now I make an effort and buy instore or order 'short' online.

Washing dry, tons of online work done, all's well.

    Enjoy the new laptops NW.

Gers, I'm pretty sure that's a fallacy. DH works in supply chain for M & S and has an awful lot to do with stock control - I think that they all come from the same pool. I'll confirm with him when he gets back from the gym.

Just what I was told by a staff member. Perhaps it was just an excuse!

There's a spectacular sunset here, hope it bodes well for tomorrow.

This and the other suggestions I've had reminds me of why I love the daily thread so much.

    Thank you :)

Meeting went well. I didn't get wet and the hounds missed me. Grump was in bed and Youngest complained we've had no broadband all night. It's good to be home and in the warm.

    Sleep well all
