satellite phones

I travel to Europe a lot and due to where I am there is weak Wi-Fi or phone signal, (rhine river etc.) as well as the great lakes in Canada.
I know satellite phones such as Iridium and Inmarsat are expensive and was wondering if any one can suggest a better alternative?
or which is cheaper so I can have Wi-Fi or phone signal

Comments

  • it costs about £5 to £6 per minute for anybody to call satellite phone from uk mobile. I don't think many people would be calling you.
But if you need it for emergency call then it's ok
  • thanks I am aware of that - looking to see a better way to get Wi-Fi and phone coverage.
