Laptop for secondary school use

Hi

I want to buy my daughter a laptop for her school work. I have lost touch with computers over the years but have budgeted for something between £300 and 400. This seems to get me an i3 with 4gb of ram and 1tb. The hard drive size isn’t an issue as we have cloud storage.

Could you let me know if I am on the right track with something like this please? http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/laptops/lenovo-ideapad-320s-14ikb-14-laptop-grey-10164438-pdt.html

There is also this one which has a different cpu http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/laptops/hp-pavilion-14-bk069sa-14-laptop-white-rose-gold-10165039-pdt.html

Ideally it will last for he 5 or so years at school, do you think that is possible with the specification? She will be using it for office application and sims4 (she says she wants to play that :) )

Thank you

Matt
